The Masters is a golf event that never fails to provide a unique experience for fans. With its immaculate fairways, blooming azaleas, and distinctive roars, the tournament has become a beloved tradition among golf enthusiasts of all ages and levels of dedication. This year's 87th edition of the event promises to offer all the Augusta National comforts and more, even for those who cannot attend in person. For those seeking a Masters fix, there are plenty of options beyond the traditional TV broadcasts scheduled on ESPN and CBS. Despite only having 18 hours of linear coverage, golf viewers who stay informed know there are several ways to watch this year's tournament. One of these is the Masters' innovative "Every Shot, Every Hole" technology, which enables viewers to witness everything. This year's version includes an additional feature where IBM Watson will provide text and audio AI commentary for every shot shown during the tournament, totaling over 20,000 shots. Masters.com and ESPN+ also provide three extra "featured holes" channels, including one from Amen Corner (11th, 12th, and 13th holes), another for the 15th and 16th holes, and a third for the fourth, fifth, and sixth holes. In addition, there is a distinct channel for spotlight coverage of two featured groups from the morning and afternoon waves each day. In anticipation of the TV broadcasts on Thursday and Friday, ESPN is airing a new two-hour lead-in program called "Welcome to the Masters." But for golf enthusiasts who could not wait for Thursday's first round to get a golf fix, there was the Par-3 Contest Wednesday. Coverage will be available on Masters.com from 12 noon to 5 p.m. and on ESPN from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Whether through traditional TV broadcasts or innovative digital technology, this year's Masters offers several ways to watch and enjoy the tournament. Fans can soak in the sights and sounds of Augusta National from anywhere, and experience the excitement of one of golf's most anticipated events.
